this town. Worth to visit are the impressive 17th century building
of “El Cardenal” (the small “Escorial”, with some paintings of El Greco), the
castle, palace and monastery of the count of Lemos (today a “Parador” state
owned Hotel), the convent of “Las Clarisas” with an important museum of sacred
art and the medieval bridge over the river Cabe.
